1. Introduction & Summary
In short: QuizMage does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use a small amount of strictly-necessary and functional browser storage, listed in full below.
This page describes exactly what is stored in your browser when you visit quizmage.vspapg.gr, why it is stored, and how long it lasts. It also explains the browser storage used by the QuizMage WordPress plugin when it runs on a merchant's online store. We use no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, and no advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.
For broader information on how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store in your browser and read back on later visits. Cookies are one of several browser-storage technologies.
In this Policy, the word “cookies” is used broadly to also cover HTML5 web storage, because that is what QuizMage mostly relies on:
localStorage— data that stays in your browser until you (or the site) clear it. It is not sent automatically to any server.sessionStorage— data that lasts only for the current browser tab and is erased when you close that tab. It is not sent automatically to any server.
Unlike third-party advertising cookies, the web storage we use stays in your browser and is not used to build an advertising profile or to follow you across other websites.
3. Cookies & Storage We Use on This Website
The following is the complete list of cookies and browser storage set on quizmage.vspapg.gr:
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
quizmage_cookie_consent_v1 |
localStorage | QuizMage (first-party) | Remembers that you dismissed the privacy/cookie notice so it isn't shown again | Persistent until you clear browser storage | Strictly necessary |
quizmage_referral_code |
sessionStorage | QuizMage (first-party) | Temporarily carries a referral code from your referral link into the Stripe checkout so a discount can be applied | Cleared when the browser tab is closed | Functional |
__stripe_mid |
Cookie | Stripe (third-party, set only on Stripe's checkout) | Fraud prevention / payment risk scoring during checkout | ~1 year | Strictly necessary |
__stripe_sid |
Cookie | Stripe (third-party, set only on Stripe's checkout) | Fraud prevention during an active checkout session | ~30 minutes | Strictly necessary |
Stripe cookies are set on Stripe's own domain during payment and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. We set no cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
4. Browser Storage Used by the QuizMage Plugin on Merchant Stores
QuizMage is also a WordPress plugin that merchants install on their own WooCommerce stores. When a shopper takes a quiz on such a store, the plugin uses a small amount of browser storage in the shopper's browser:
sessionStorage— holds an anonymous quiz session identifier and in-tab completion state, so repeated events are not double-counted. This supports analytics de-duplication and is cleared when the tab is closed.localStorage— remembers a shopper's shop-embed quiz results, so they can return to the store later and see their result without retaking the quiz.localStorage— when a merchant runs an A/B test between two quizzes, a key of the formqm_ab_{id}_{id}remembers which of the two versions the shopper was shown (the stored value is just"a"or"b"), so they keep seeing the same version on later visits. It persists until the shopper clears site data.
This storage contains no advertising identifiers and is not used for cross-site tracking. Because merchants deploy the plugin on their own stores, each merchant is responsible for disclosing this storage in their own store privacy policy.
For more detail, see the Privacy Policy section on “Cookies and Similar Technologies” and our general Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Cookies & Storage
You are always in control of the cookies and browser storage on your device. You can clear or block them at any time through your browser settings:
- Use your browser's privacy or settings menu to clear cookies and site data (this also clears
localStorageandsessionStorage) for this site or for all sites. - Configure your browser to block or restrict cookies for specific sites, or to clear site data automatically when you close it.
Please note: the items above are strictly necessary or functional. Blocking strictly-necessary storage — in particular the Stripe checkout cookies — may prevent a purchase from completing.
Because we set no marketing or advertising cookies, there is nothing to “opt out” of for advertising or cross-site tracking on this website.
If you clear this site's storage, the brief informational privacy notice will appear again on your next visit, because the quizmage_cookie_consent_v1 flag that records your acknowledgement will have been removed.
6. Changes & Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. Material updates will be indicated by revising the “Effective date” and, where appropriate, the version number at the top of this page. Continued use of the Sales Site after the effective date constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
